Sports Hub new Headquarters
The Sports Hub have acquired an office at the bottom of Glasgow St Ardrossan. The premises were previously occupied by the Big Lottery's Our Place initiative. We would like to thank Cunningham Housing Association's CEO Frank Sweeney and regeneration officer Hugh Magee for providing the premises to the Sports Hub.
The new premises will be a vital part of the Sport Hub's public profile giving us a place that everyone can identify with. The premises will be a focal point which will allow interaction with the local community. it will allow us to display our Aims & Objectives, show our detailed plans and also to have ongoing consultation with the local community.
We hope to have signage up soon and be open early in the new year so please keep a look out, and feel free to pop in for a chat and a cuppa.
Welcome to Ardrossan Community Sports Hub.
Our aim is to promote excellent physical and mental health through person-centred sport and physical activity addressing both young and elderly members of our community. We aim to create a sports club and sports park with outdoor sports and activities facilities requested by the community in our feasibility study – to include a green gym & trim track, Multi Use Games Area, cycle & running track, outdoor fitness training area, play/garden area and community gym with changing facilities. This will be an area where everyone in the community can spend time to meet others and be involved in a collective pursuit of good physical and mental health, these facilities will foster the aims of the Sports Hub and will be owned by the community.
We aim to grow a group of volunteers from the community to provide them with coaching qualifications, allowing them to coach and to provide the support needed to develop a programme of sports and physical activities .
We will use a Training Needs Analysis to assess the training required
to meet both club objectives and personal ambitions and will develop a training plan for all new members based on an initial skills audit.
Please take a look around the Sport Hub's developing website, get familiar and above all get involved.

The Sport Hubs Trip to see the National Football team
Scotland 6 San Marino 0
The sports Hubs main aims is to promote a more active community, and one of the ways in which we aim to do this is by using major sporting events as a role modelling experience. With that in mind we set off for Hampden Park in Glasgow to see the national football team play San Marino in a European qualifier on Sunday 13th October.
We took a coach full of local children and parents to the national stadium on a day that torrential rain fell non stop. The kids although soaked had a fantastic day as did the parents. It wasn't a bad idea to pick this game as Scotland were always going to score a few goals, the trouble with that is that the kids may think this is how it always is, we know better.
The Sports Hub gained a few more members and heightened the interest in sport for those who attended....mission partially accomplished.
