On Saturday, 29th November, our community will gather at Ardrossan Community Sports Hub to take on The Summit — a same-sex partner event that blends strength, endurance and determination into one unforgettable challenge.

Climb your mountain: tough, demanding, but worth every step when you hit the peak.

Why Enter The Summit?

Push yourself further – three demanding stages that test every part of your fitness.

Do it together – grab a training partner, motivate each other, and celebrate the win side by side.

For everyday athletes – no elite qualifiers here. This is about challenging yourself, no matter where you start.

Community spirit – join like-minded people, compete hard, and then relax knowing you’ve taken on something epic.

👥 Format: Same-sex pairs
💷 Cost: £20 per team

The Challenge Ahead

The Summit is split into three parts — each one designed to test a different side of your fitness. Together, they form the climb to the top.

The Workout

PART 1 – STRENGTH (20mins)
Deadlifts (3 rep max)
Bench Press (3 rep max)
*both partners to record their own 3 rep max for both lifts.

RECOVERY TIME (10 minutes)

PART 2 – CARDIO (28mins)
SkiErg (8mins max calories)
Rest 2 mins
BikeErg (8min max calories)
Rest 2 mins
Rower (8mins max calories)
*I go you go (IGYG) format

PART 3 – FUNCTIONAL CIRCUIT

BUY IN – 1km Treadmill Run

80 Box Step Overs
80 Burpees (straight arm) to Plate
80 Clean and Press (Male 15kg / Female 10kg plate)
80 Ab Mat Sit Ups
200m Farmers Carry (Male 24kg / Female 16kg kettlebells)

BUY OUT – 1km Treadmill Run

*I-go-you-go (IGYG) format.
Only one changeover allowed on the treadmill runs.
Unlimited changeovers on stations.
